Red Rice Yeast is the result of the growth of a microscopic fungus called Monascus purpureus on rice, leading to its fermentation and giving it its characteristic red hue.
This fermentation of Red Rice Yeast leads to the production of Monacolin K. Each capsule contains 100 mg of Red Rice Yeast, with an average of around 1.3 mg of Monacolin K.
