Red Rice Yeast is derived from a fermented form of rice (Oryza sativa) grown with the fungus Monascus purpureus. This fermentation gives the rice its characteristic red color. Red Rice Yeast is known to contain compounds such as monacolines, including monacolin K.
1 capsule of Superdiet Red Rice Yeast contains 100mg of Red Rice Yeast and an average of 1.3mg of Monacolin K.
